Judgment Lite

| | Comments (4)
I want to apologize for not blogging more often--I've been spending a lot of time on my Facebook Fan Page, though it's not called a"fan page" anymore now that you don't become a fan, you just "like" a page. Anyway, to stay current with what's going on with me, I invite you to "like" my page! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Julia-Rogers-Hamrick/355243384767

I have been digging through my old documents lately, and I found this and thought you might find some value in it. I don't remember this exchange, but I'm thinking I was conversing with someone in a Powerful Intentions forum. I seem to have been trying to explain the difference between hardcore judgment, which keeps us stuck in Difficult World, and preferences.

Preferences are like "judgment lite"! You are acknowledging what feels better to you. All comparison is duality based, and as long as we're in duality, that's a given! But designating preferences acknowledges that what you're thinking is an opinion--not the ultimate truth--and that there are other possible opinions.

It's not reasonable to expect that you can give up judgment without transitioning out of it. It's something you do little by little by simply becoming aware and deciding to take whatever little steps toward it that you can.

Please know that I do not claim, by any stretch, to have forsaken judgment completely, however much I'd like to. It is what the duality matrix is built on and it is entrenched in the human consciousness. Like I said, though, the unwillingness to simply take a neutral stance is what keeps humanity trapped in a world where evil can exist.

Here is the crux of the matter, really: Judgment is the tool your ego uses to withhold Love. Ironically, the very thing necessary to transform what you perceive as bad or wrong is more Love. Love is the only transformational force in the Universe.

I'm not talking about loving the perpetrator of a crime--in fact, we are not called upon to love ANYONE! We are only called upon to love, period. And that is for our own benefit.

Whenever you block the flow of Love from Source moving through you during judgment, you are depriving YOURSELF of Love--of Life Force--not to mention, the rest of Creation. So, key in transitioning out of judgment is a commitment to what I call "unconditional radiance" which is loving no matter what and not allowing anything to cause me to stop the flow of Love through me.

Here is an excerpt from Recreating Eden that addresses this issue. It is in the chapter that talks about our Qualities of Origin, the energy-moving tools we were born with. (When we are born, we are still dwelling in Paradise.):

Unconditional Acceptance is a most powerful quality. You were born accepting everything without qualification. You accepted your body, your mother's love, your drunken uncle, the shack or mansion you lived in--even your feces--without judgment. (Remember judgment? The very stance that shifts you out of the Garden?)

Granted, some of the things I named were not necessarily in harmony with the Whole, and you may certainly have liked some things more than others, but you did not judge. Until you were taught to do so, you made no judgments about anything!

Remember--in the Garden (where you were dwelling in consciousness at that time--or at least in the close proximity of it), nothing is good or evil, right or wrong, it simply is. Unconditional acceptance does not mean you condone something, it merely means you acknowledge it without judgment. And if you believe something needs to change, it's still necessary to accept how it is first.

Acceptance is the point at which true change can occur, as only when you are in alignment--in non-judgment--can you marshal the Love that is necessary to transform anything.

Since getting back from a wonderful week in beautiful North Carolina on Wednesday night, I've been allowing myself a gentle re-entry. I've been especially mindful of my inclination toward being impatient with myself during times of transition. I have not always given myself time to rest and to reassemble all the parts of me that seem to be in disparate places right after a trip--not waited for all aspects of me to catch up and reintegrate before expecting peak performance. "So much to do, so much to catch up on!" is the thought that echos in my mind after a time away from the office, and it only serves to panic me, rendering me ineffectual.

But this time, I really saw this in a new, clearer way and was wiser about it, giving myself the leeway to feel a little discombobulated, emotional and lost for the first full day back and then some. I'm actually still allowing myself some "getting up to speed" time.  In such a situation--and, indeed, in any situation--impatience only serves to rocket one to Difficult World!

Humans are process-oriented beings, and the more one honors her processes, the more easily one moves through them. Even though the Difficult World Dictator will use every opportunity to take over if it sees that you are not in your most centered state, you can prepare by planning in some days to become re-centered after any major event that might require subsequent readjustment like travel or other big change in your routine. When that impatient "you should " voice turns up the volume to bully you into doing the many things on your to-do list before you feel really ready, simply choose Easy World, breathe and "re-boot" with the Easy World invocation and actions. Remember that you are your most efficient and effective if you only allow true inspiration and energy to motivate you--not "shoulds"--and you need time to rest and regroup before you'll be aligned to receive inspiration and feel totally energized.

I've been going over the "2nd pass pages" I got back from St. Martin's--they're the typeset pages that look exactly like the book will look (once they're trimmed out and bound). It's the only major project among about a dozen waiting in the wings that I've felt truly inspired and energized to work on since I got home (and a good thing, too, as I have to have them back in NYC by the 26th.). This is my last chance to find any typos or make any changes of any kind before the book goes to press. Yikes! This is getting very real now! Sooooooo excited!!!

I've been going back through some old files and finding lots of cool content I just never figured out how I wanted to share. Below is part of my conversation on a forum with a guy who was in a conundrum about two women, Rachel and Jessica. Here was the gist of his question, which seems is a common one for people wanting to apply the Law of Attraction:

Because we can't manifest a certain individual in our lives, does that mean our means of creation is limited? If our means of creation is limited then we are truly not 100% free to create any experience in our lives.

And here is my response to him:

We are not intrinsically limited in our creative ability. We can, indeed, manifest anything we desire. The trick is to understand what that really is.
Our desires are always aligned with Source, but our *translation* of those desires is colored by our extremely limited ego. Until we are operating at high enough frequency to have the viewpoint from which we can see from the git-go that Jessica is the correct match to our desire, we would do well to express our intention to have the best possible match to our desire and trust that it will manifest perfectly. Trust IS a huge challenge for ego, but such is the task of the spiritual warrior!

At lower frequency, at which we are always operating when we are operating in ego's domain, we just see Rachel and think SHE'S the match to our desire, when the truth is, at the higher level where our creative power resides, we know that Jessica is really the correct match. To the degree that we ALLOW the vibrational match to manifest in our experience without the ego resistance of "But I just HAVE to have Rachel," the faster our true desire will manifest.

At the higher levels of our being, we are purely creative and all-knowing, all seeing. But the level where most of us are operating now, with soooooo much ego input, we are largely blind. Allowing ego to translate our desires is a ticket to frustration as ego is extremely limited in what it sees. It operates totally on evidence rather than true vision. Yes--ego is not a lot of help in manifesting what will truly bring you joy.

SO, you might be able to force things and get Rachel, but you will find that she is not the match to your true desire.

Yes--we can create what we truly desire, but ego is the wrong one to tell you what that is!
