Easy World or Difficult World for the Holidays?
Ah, the holidays. A season of Love and joy. A time set aside from the hectic, daily routine to celebrate and rejoice. A time of blessed peace.
I can almost hear you saying, "Yeah, right."
For so many of us, the holidays have become something other than they were originally intended to be. They've become a season of one obligation after another. Of doing too much and being resentful, stressed out and exhausted. Of maintaining rituals and traditions that have lost their meaning. Of forced relating with family and friends.
Basically, the holidays have become celebrations of Difficult World!
We don't have to be immersed in DW, however. We can choose Easy World, even during the holidays. Holidays were designed with Easy World's ease, harmony, peace and joy in mind, but as is his way, the Difficult World Dictator has co-opted them and made them his own. It's kind of sad to realize that the one who is celebrating the most during the holiday season is the Difficult World Dictator, with such a feast of misaligned energy to savor!
Following are some Easy World basics you can apply to limit or eliminate the DWD from your holiday and have the EW experience you crave.
First, make sure you are aligned with and listening to your Spirit, paying attention to its messages to you. While you may get actual sentences, those messages will usually come through your body and the feelings you experience. When you are in alignment with your Spirit and the mighty Design for Harmony under-girding Easy World, you will feel clear, peaceful, joyful and energized. When you are in alignment with Difficult World and the DWD instead, you will feel various levels of being muddled, tired, in turmoil, and less than joyful. When you experience this, it's time to invoke Easy World.
Next (and this one is a biggy for sure), follow the Easy World ordinance for action, which is this: The only actions that will keep you in Easy World are inspired actions. Inspired actions are those that are either suggested by or underwritten by your Spirit. Inspired actions, which are in perfect alignment with the Design for Harmony, feel good and are funded with energy. There is no resentment or reticence or exhaustion involved in inspired action! Likewise, there are no shoulds or ought-tos involved in inspired action.
Holidays have become a lot about shoulds and ought-tos. They are built on preserving tradition and rituals. To stay in Easy World, aligned with the Design for Harmony, you must be willing to let go of any rituals and traditions that are no longer bringing you joy. Any activity that doesn't support your joy is a Difficult World thing. This is not to say that you can't be in Easy World while observing a tradition, but if you feel it draining your energy, you know you're not in EW.
When you invoke Easy World and intend an easy, high-vibration solution to any dilemma that may arise from opting out of or changing a tradition, you will be blessed with one!
Oftentimes, we observe a tradition because we are sure that other members of our tribe are so deeply invested in it, we may be ostracized if we decide not to participate. This is totally fear-based, and just what the Difficult World Dictator gets his kicks from. For starters, you may be surprised to find that you may not be the only one who is ready for a change! But even if you are, you need to remember that the only part of anyone who will object to you doing what is right for you and in alignment with the Design for Harmony is her/his ego. So you need to make the decision whether or not you're going to dance not only to your own ego's tune, but to the egos of others as well. Any way you slice it, obeying ego instead of your Spirit will keep you in the misery matrix of Difficult World.
Easy World is the very home of peace and joy. These hallmarks of Easy World do not even exist in Difficult World, so in order to experience them yourself and provide a space for others to experience them, too, you need to be in Easy World.
Indeed, being true to yourSelf and staying in Easy World is the greatest gift you can possibly give—or receive. Your aligned Self is far more powerful than you may imagine, and confers immense blessings to all you encounter. From such a simple thing as being centered, joyful and unflappable at the family holiday dinner, to staying in alignment as you travel, you create an oasis of peace that provides vibrational shelter for all. And just imagine the blessing you will be giving to your children by showing them how to align with the Design for Harmony instead of getting bogged down in Difficult World!
To invoke Easy World, say the magic words: I choose to live in Easy World, where everything is easy. Then, just breathe... relax... allow... enjoy... and watch the magic unfold!
