Desires and Lies: Recognizing the Lies That Keep You From the Fulfillment of Your Desires
A desire is your Spirit's way of telling you that something you'd love to have is ready to be delivered. Ready to be delivered.
Your Spirit's not saying you can have it if you just focus on it enough. Or if you say the magic affirmation enough times. Or if you make a sensational-enough vision board.
It is telling you it's yours. All you have to do is take delivery of it. You can take that to the bank.
So why don't you trust that? Why don't you have all your desires? Why are you looking around, wondering where the evidence of your heart's desire is?
For every Spirit action, there's an equal and opposite ego reaction.
As soon as you identify a desire, fearful ego is threatened. Its job is to keep you out of joy and fulfillment, and it knows if you allow yourself to receive what your Spirit has in store for you, it will have failed its duty. So it jumps in to drop your vibration. It tells you that you can't have what you desire.
Don't believe it.
The fearful ego is a bald-faced liar. That's its second most-powerful tool in its bag of tricks--lying about everything. If ego says it, you can absolutely count on it being a lie. It is incapable of telling the truth. It wouldn't be doing its job if it did.
If you believe ego's lies—if you accept them as true—they will be true for you.
When the fearful ego tells you something you desire is unavailable to you and you feel sadness, anger or simply emptiness, it has achieved its goal. It has lowered your vibration to the place where you are in a different reality where, indeed, the thing you desire is not available to you. Then it appears that the ego was right.
But all you have to do is raise your vibration back up to the reality in which your desire is yours for the claiming. When you become proficient at identifying ego's lies, you'll find it less seductive to succumb to them—less tempting to allow your vibration to nosedive in response. The irony is that you can't be at the vibrational level where all that you long for is yours if you are in longing! Joy is the vibrational address for claiming that which you desire.
Noticing your response to your Spirit's loving announcements of all that is yours for the claiming—whether it's joyful celebration (hooray!), or mournful lament (tune out ego, tune into Spirit and get yourself back to joy!)—will help you vibrationally position yourself to have all that your heart desires. Indeed, you can use your ego's vibration-lowering response as a sign that it is threatened, and when ego is threatened, it means fulfillment is at hand!
